D/S (Dominance & Submission) is a conscious practice of power dynamics, in which you can discover both -
holding power & responsibility, as well as deep surrender & submission states.
At this retreat we will enter into Mysticism, Ritual, Symbolism, BDSM, Movement, Bodyhandling & Positioning. "Rite of Passage" is an initiation into deeper intimacy, presence, and embodiment of authentic powerplay.
You will learn a conscious and playful way of enacting D/S dynamics that is rooted in radical presence, trust & love.

This retreat is a conscious and intimate process, that will allow you to meet different aspects of yourself, also the ones, that have been shadowed or covered by shame. You will learn how to create D/S dynamics & ritual setting
in a non-stereotypical, but your authentic way.

Our programm includes verbal, as well as non-verbal play. Impact play or bondage/ rope play, that requires experience with specific tools (whips, ropes, etc.) are not a part of the retreat.
If you are looking for real depth and energetic intimacy in various D/S settings, then you will feel at home here.

Attend as partners or solo
There will be group-, partner-, and solo exercises. You are welcome to register alone, in pairs or tribes (with partner(s) /friend(s)/ lover(s)). Registered pairs/tribes can, but do not have to swap partners for exercises. While solo attendance is possible, we recommend to sign up with a person you trust as we will travel deep emotional & energetic spaces.

You prefer the intimacy, in-depth designed process, and individual guidance of two experienced facilitators, rather than big festival vibes with multiple teachers.

Eroticism as an art form
You are looking for a space, where diverse and creative expressions of eroticism, sensuality and intensity are welcome AND you feel safe? We are a queer-feminist collective and are aware of the biases and one-way streets, that pornography & normativity offers, also in the segment of bdsm. One of our goals is to rewrite the approach and expression of bdsm practices, especially d/s dynamics, into an artform. Therefore, this retreat is NOT a sex-positive space. Explicit sexuality (focus on penetration, nudity, genitals) is not welcome.
Requirements & Level
"Soft Skills"
We expect you to have skills & experience in conscious communication and consent building, approved strategies for "repair" (in case something doesn´t go as planned in a scene). Physical/emotional/mental/spiritual self-regulation skills are mandatory for participation. Also skills & experience in navigating and taking responsibility for your process within a group setting and group dynamics is mandatory. Achieving these skills is not a part of the retreat.
Kink & D/S Skills
Impact play or bondage/ rope play, that requires experience with specific tools (whips, ropes, etc.) are not a part of the retreat. We strongly advice you to have participated in some group workshops on any topic about conscious relating & intimacy, kink, BDSM or similar before joining the retreat. Explicit experience in D/S play is not mandatory. The retreat is open level designed for newbies & experienced practitioners in D/S play.
Physical & Mental Health
Our approach is in general quite somatic and movement affine. If you happen to have injuries or disabilities, please reach out to us before you register.
If you happen to be affected by any kind of personality disorder, traumata/PTSD or similar, please reach out to us before you register. D/S practices can have a very powerful psychological and emotional impact and require a certain mental and emotional stability.
Retreat Location
"Welcome to heaven on earth - Ater Tumti Sicily, Italy”
A magical place surrounded by nature on the slope of Mount Etna. The fire power of the volcano will recharge and strengthen us during our retreat - as well as the power of the water as we are the ionian sea with its beautiful sunrises and sunsets.
A centre of healing and learning in an environment that is so beautiful and nurturing, that even the deepest of wounds can be recognized and the healing process lovingly held and supported.
Ater Tumti has 15 hectares of land with forest, olive groves, flowers, lush gardens and traditional drywalls terraces. The retreat center consists of villas, apartments and tiny houses surrounded by nature, swimming pool and multiple jacuzzis - and a beautiful 200qm shala that gives us space to practice and play.
As our retreat center is located on the slope of mount Etna, we don't want to miss out on visiting this amazing site and recharging with some volcanic energy. During our day off there will be an optional excursion, half a day max., so you will have time to relax and integrate as well.
Accommodation
The retreat center consists of villas, apartments and tiny houses surrounded by nature. There are different accommodation options and the price depends on how many people you share your space with.
It is possible to choose between Single room / Double room.

Meals
ATER TUMTI provides three vegetarian meals a day. The retreat meals will be entrusted in the hands of the local chefs, who will delight the palate of all with genuine and delicious dishes with quality raw materials, chosen from local shops and producers, following the rhythms of nature and our seasonal vegetable garden. It is possible to cater for special dietary needs, such as vegan diets or intolerances if specified in advance.

The closet airport is in Catania (Sicily), about 45min car drive. There will be a shuttle service available.

Terms & Conditions:
Your spot will be reserved once we’ve received your registration email with your personal reflections on the questions.
The next step is to transfer the retreat fee as outlined under “Pricing” (450 € regular / 520 € supporter). You will receive our bank details via email after we confirm your application.
Please wait with booking your travel until we confirm that the minimum group size of 8 participants has been reached.
If the retreat cannot take place, you will receive a full refund of your payment. If you cancel your registration by June 15th, 2026, we will refund 50% of your retreat fee.
We strongly recommend that all participants take out travel insurance to cover potential cancellations due to unforeseen circumstances.
